6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan for Industrial Airflow Applications
6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan for Industrial Airflow Applications

When an industrial process needs more than simple air movement, I usually look first at the pressure requirement. A fan may move a large amount of air, but if it cannot overcome the resistance of ducts, filters, burners, heat exchangers, or other equipment, the system will not perform as expected. This is where a High-Pressure Centrifugal Fan becomes useful.

The 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan is designed for industrial systems that require stable airflow together with relatively high static pressure. At Zhejiang Shangyang Industrial Fan Co., Ltd., we manufacture Industrial Centrifugal Fans for different working conditions rather than treating every application as the same. In actual projects, I look at airflow, pressure, gas temperature, material, motor power, drive arrangement, installation space, and the nature of the gas before recommending a configuration.

Our 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan can be considered for boiler air supply, industrial ventilation, dust collection, combustion air, drying equipment, chemical processing, metallurgy, cement production, coating systems, and other process equipment. The final configuration is matched to the customer's operating conditions, because the right fan is not simply the biggest or most powerful fan.

1. What Is the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan?

The 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan is a centrifugal industrial fan developed for applications where the air system has meaningful resistance. In simple terms, the fan needs to push air through a system instead of just moving air around an open space.

This difference matters in industrial plants. Imagine a fan connected to a long duct system with several elbows, dampers, filters, heat exchangers, and other components. Every part creates resistance. The fan has to provide enough pressure to overcome this resistance while still delivering the required airflow.

I normally explain fan selection to customers in a straightforward way: airflow tells us how much gas needs to move, while pressure tells us how hard the fan needs to work to move it through the system. Both numbers matter. Looking at only airflow can lead to an unsuitable selection.

The 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan is therefore aimed at industrial users who need dependable pressure performance and continuous air movement. Depending on the application, the fan can be configured around different airflow and pressure requirements, gas temperatures, construction materials, motor arrangements, and transmission methods.

The fan can be used as a standalone piece of equipment or as part of a larger air-handling system. In many projects, the fan itself is only one part of the solution. The duct layout, filter resistance, inlet and outlet conditions, motor selection, foundation, vibration control, and operating environment all affect the final result.

What I Check Before Recommending a Fan

Selection ItemWhy It MattersTypical Information Needed
AirflowDetermines how much gas the fan must movem³/h, m³/min or other specified unit
PressureDetermines the resistance the fan must overcomePa, kPa or other specified unit
Gas temperatureAffects material selection and fan constructionNormal and maximum operating temperature
Gas compositionHelps determine corrosion and material requirementsAir, dust-laden gas, corrosive gas, process gas, etc.
Motor powerMust match the actual operating pointkW and electrical requirements
Drive arrangementAffects installation and maintenanceDirect drive, belt drive or other agreed arrangement

Source: Selection factors are based on common industrial fan engineering practice and the performance parameters addressed by ISO 5801 and ANSI/AMCA 210, which cover fan airflow, pressure, power, speed and related aerodynamic performance measurements.

2. How Does a High-Pressure Centrifugal Fan Work?

The working principle is easier to understand than it first sounds. Air or process gas enters the fan through the inlet. The rotating impeller then accelerates the gas and moves it outward by centrifugal action. The casing guides the moving gas toward the outlet, where it enters the connected duct or process equipment.

The rotating impeller is the part that does most of the visible work, but the whole airflow path matters. The inlet, impeller, casing, outlet, shaft, bearings, motor, and drive system have to work together. If one part is poorly matched to the operating condition, the overall system can suffer.

For a high-pressure application, I pay particular attention to the relationship between airflow and pressure. A fan that produces high pressure at one operating point may not be the right choice at another point. This is why I do not recommend selecting a fan only from a name or model number.

Airflow and Pressure Work Together

Industrial fan performance is normally described using several related values. Airflow indicates the volume of gas moved over time. Pressure indicates the pressure developed by the fan. Shaft or motor power indicates how much energy is required to produce that performance. Speed also affects the operating point.

ANSI/AMCA Standard 210 describes laboratory methods for determining fan aerodynamic performance in terms including airflow rate, pressure developed, power consumption, air density, rotational speed, and efficiency. This is useful because it shows why a serious fan selection should look at more than one number.

Performance FactorSimple MeaningImportance in Fan Selection
Airflow rateHow much gas needs to moveDefines the required volume of air or process gas
PressureHow much resistance the fan can overcomeImportant for ducts, filters and process equipment

3. Main Features of the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan

In my experience, industrial customers are usually less interested in complicated descriptions and more interested in whether a fan will keep doing its job after installation. For this reason, I focus on practical points when explaining the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan.

Stable High-Pressure Air Movement

The basic purpose of this series is to provide stable airflow where the system resistance is relatively high. This makes it suitable for applications where ordinary ventilation fans may not provide enough pressure.

Flexible Industrial Configuration

We do not assume that every factory has the same operating conditions. The fan can be discussed and configured according to airflow, pressure, temperature, material, motor power, and drive arrangement. This is particularly useful for non-standard industrial projects.

Suitable for Different Process Systems

The 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan can be applied to air supply, exhaust, combustion air, drying, dust collection, and process ventilation. The final construction depends on the gas and operating environment.

Designed for Industrial Use

Industrial fans have to deal with more demanding conditions than ordinary building ventilation. Depending on the project, the fan may face dust, heat, continuous operation, process gas, or corrosive conditions. We therefore consider the actual working environment before confirming the configuration.

Inspection Before Delivery

Before delivery, we check agreed dimensions, appearance, rotation direction, assembly, operating performance, and accessories. These checks are simple, but they are important. A fan can be well manufactured and still cause installation trouble if basic details are not checked.

Protective Packaging for Transportation

Industrial fans can contain large casings, motors, shafts, bearings, and other parts that need protection during transportation. Depending on fan size and shipping conditions, we can use protective film, wooden cases, steel frames, or reinforced packaging.

4. Technical Advantages I Focus on During Fan Selection

A good industrial fan is not defined by one attractive specification. What matters is whether the fan matches the complete working condition. When we discuss a project, I prefer to start with the process rather than immediately recommending a model.

1. Matching Airflow to the Process

Too little airflow can reduce process performance. Too much airflow can create unnecessary energy use and may affect the process itself. I therefore recommend confirming the required airflow based on actual process requirements instead of simply selecting the largest available fan.

2. Accounting for System Resistance

Pressure loss can come from ductwork, elbows, dampers, filters, burners, heat exchangers, scrubbers, cyclones, and other equipment. These losses should be considered together. A fan with suitable airflow but insufficient pressure may fail to reach the required operating point.

3. Considering Gas Temperature

Temperature is especially important for kiln, boiler, drying, thermal energy, and hot-air applications. I need to know not only the normal temperature but also the maximum expected temperature before confirming the fan configuration.

4. Choosing the Right Material

Clean air, dusty gas, humid gas, and corrosive gas do not place the same demands on a fan. Depending on the application, different materials and protective approaches may be considered. stainless steel centrifugal fans and other special constructions are available for suitable applications.

5. Checking the Motor and Drive

Motor power should be selected from the actual fan operating condition. Drive arrangement also affects installation, maintenance, and available space. This is why motor and drive details should be confirmed together with fan performance instead of being treated as an afterthought.

6. Looking at the Complete System

ISO 5801 provides standardized methods for determining fan performance, but actual site performance can be affected by the surrounding system. ISO/TR 16219 specifically discusses system effects and explains that fan performance measured in standardized airways can differ from performance under actual site conditions.

This is a point I often emphasize to customers: the fan and the duct system should be considered as one working system. A technically correct fan can still perform poorly if the inlet or outlet arrangement creates excessive disturbance.

5. Where Can the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan Be Used?

The application range of the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan is broad because the basic requirement it addresses is common across many industries: moving air or process gas through a system with resistance.

Boiler Air Supply

Boilers often need controlled air supply for combustion. The fan needs to provide airflow against the resistance of the connected system. For these projects, I pay close attention to airflow, pressure, gas temperature, operating schedule, and the required motor arrangement.

Dust Collection

dust collection systems commonly contain hoods, ducts, filters, cyclones, dampers, and other components. Each creates resistance. A high-pressure centrifugal fan can be used to provide the suction or airflow needed to keep the collection system working.

Industrial Ventilation

Industrial ventilation is different from simple room ventilation. The air may need to pass through long duct runs or process equipment. The 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan can be considered when both airflow and pressure need to be addressed.

Drying Equipment

Drying systems often depend on controlled hot or ambient air movement. Fan selection needs to consider temperature, airflow, pressure, process layout, and the characteristics of the material being dried.

Chemical Processing

Chemical processes may involve gases with special temperatures or chemical properties. Material compatibility becomes important in these applications. The final fan construction should therefore be based on the actual gas rather than the industry name alone.

Metallurgy and Cement

Metallurgy and cement production can involve high temperatures, dust, and demanding continuous operation. In these environments, fan construction, material selection, bearing arrangement, protection, and maintenance access all deserve attention.

Coating and Thermal Equipment

Coating lines, hot-air equipment, ovens, and thermal systems may require controlled circulation or exhaust. Our broader industrial fan range includes hot-air circulating fans, High-Temperature Fans, environmental protection fans, and other specialized designs.

6. How We Manufacture and Check the Fan

Manufacturing an industrial fan is not just a matter of cutting steel and assembling parts. The result depends on design, material preparation, welding, machining, impeller assembly, balancing, motor matching, inspection, and final testing.

Engineering and Technical Confirmation

We begin by confirming the working conditions. I want to know the required airflow and pressure, gas temperature, gas characteristics, material requirements, motor power, drive arrangement, installation conditions, and other project details.

This step prevents a common problem in industrial equipment purchasing: ordering based on a general model name without confirming the actual operating point.

Material Preparation

Material is selected according to the working environment and agreed construction. For ordinary applications, suitable carbon steel construction may be used. For special environments, stainless steel or other material options may be considered.

Casing and Component Manufacturing

The casing needs to maintain its shape and provide a suitable airflow path. Other components such as shafts, supports, bases, and connection parts also need accurate manufacturing because alignment and assembly affect the final running condition.

Impeller Manufacturing

The impeller is one of the most important rotating components. Its geometry affects airflow and pressure performance, while its balance affects vibration and mechanical operation. During production, we pay attention to assembly accuracy and balance-related requirements.

Assembly and Inspection

After the main components are manufactured, the fan is assembled according to the agreed configuration. We check dimensions, appearance, rotation direction, assembly condition, and other specified details before shipment.

Performance Verification

Fan Performance Testing is a technical subject in its own right. ISO 5801:2017 specifies procedures for determining fan performance using standardized airways and remains a current ISO edition, with an amendment published in 2025.

ANSI/AMCA 210-25 similarly provides uniform laboratory methods for measuring fan aerodynamic performance, including airflow rate, pressure, power consumption, air density, rotational speed, and efficiency.

7. Why Work With Zhejiang Shangyang Industrial Fan?

Choosing an industrial fan supplier is not only about comparing the price on a quotation. The more important question is whether the supplier understands the application and can follow the project from technical confirmation to delivery.

Zhejiang Shangyang Industrial Fan Co., Ltd. has specialized in industrial centrifugal fans for many years. Our technical design and manufacturing teams, as well as our sales teams, have around 20 years of industry experience. Our development work has been influenced by coating fan and environmental protection fan technology from Taiwan, and we have continued to improve and refine our products over more than a decade.

Our factory is located at No. 6-8, Bifa Road, Xinbi Subdistrict, Jinyun County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, while our sales company is located in Shanghai, China. The factory produces standard and non-standard industrial fans for different process conditions.

A Broad Industrial Fan Range

In addition to high-pressure centrifugal fans, our product range includes centrifugal fans, high-temperature fans, induced draft fans, axial fans, Low-Noise Centrifugal Fans, stainless steel centrifugal fans, hot-air circulating fans, mixing fans, environmental protection fans, and explosion-proof centrifugal fans.

This broader product range is useful when a project contains several different air-handling points. Instead of forcing one fan design into every position, we can look at each working condition and select the appropriate fan type.

Experience With Different Industries

Our fans are used in coating, kiln, boiler, environmental protection and dust collection, thermal energy, printing, coating equipment, medical latex equipment, air-supported membrane, separation, cement, chemical, and food industries. Products are supplied across China and exported overseas as supporting equipment.

Testing Reports and Certifications

The company has obtained multiple national test reports for specialized products and has successively obtained national explosion-proof certification, energy efficiency certification, and other certifications for applicable products. Certification should always be checked against the specific model and configuration involved in a project, so we provide relevant documentation according to the actual product.

Practical Communication

I believe good technical communication should be simple. If a customer gives us airflow, pressure, temperature, gas type, material requirements, motor power, and installation information, we can usually start evaluating the fan configuration directly.

If some information is missing, we ask for it rather than guessing. This is particularly important for high-pressure fan applications because a small change in pressure or temperature can affect the recommended configuration.

Packaging and Delivery Support

After production and inspection, packaging is selected according to the fan size and transportation method. Protective film, wooden cases, steel frames, and reinforced packaging can be used where appropriate. Truck, sea, rail, and other transportation arrangements can be considered according to the project.

8. 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan FAQ

Q1: What is a 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan used for?

I normally recommend this type of high-pressure centrifugal fan for industrial systems that need stable airflow and relatively high static pressure. Typical applications include boiler air supply, industrial ventilation, dust collection, combustion air, drying equipment, chemical processing, metallurgy, cement production, and other process systems.

Q2: Can the fan be customized?

Yes. Industrial fan projects often require customization. We can discuss the configuration according to airflow, pressure, gas temperature, material, motor power, drive arrangement, installation requirements, and other project conditions. Customized fans require additional technical confirmation before production.

Q3: Do you provide non-standard industrial fans?

Yes. Our factory specializes in both standard and non-standard industrial fans. For a non-standard project, I recommend providing as much process information as possible so the design team can evaluate the working condition before confirming the configuration.

Q4: What information should I provide for fan selection?

The most useful information includes required airflow, required pressure, gas temperature, gas composition, dust concentration if applicable, installation altitude, motor power or electrical requirements, drive arrangement, inlet and outlet dimensions, and operating schedule. A system drawing is also helpful when available.

Q5: Can the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan handle high-temperature gas?

The answer depends on the actual gas temperature and required construction. For high-temperature applications, the fan must be configured around the operating temperature and thermal conditions. We also manufacture dedicated high-temperature fan products for applications where standard construction is not suitable.

Q6: Can it be used for dust collection?

It can be considered for dust collection systems where the required airflow and pressure match the fan's operating range. Dust concentration, particle size, temperature, wear characteristics, filter resistance, and duct layout should be reviewed before final selection.

Q7: How long is the production lead time?

The production cycle depends on the model, specifications, order quantity, and customization requirements. Standard configurations generally have a shorter lead time. Customized industrial fans require additional technical confirmation and manufacturing time. We confirm the estimated schedule after the technical requirements are finalized.

Q8: How do you inspect the fan before shipment?

Before delivery, we check dimensions, appearance, rotation direction, assembly, operating performance, and agreed accessories. The inspection scope can also be matched to the customer's technical agreement and project requirements.

Q9: What payment terms do you normally accept?

Payment is commonly arranged by T/T according to the contract. The exact payment schedule and conditions are confirmed in the commercial agreement for each order.

Q10: How do you package the high-pressure fan?

Packaging depends on fan size, component configuration, and transportation conditions. We may use protective film, wooden cases, steel frames, or reinforced packaging to protect the motor, casing, shaft, and other components during loading, handling, and transportation.

Q11: Can you arrange international transportation?

Yes. Depending on the destination and project requirements, transportation can be arranged by truck, sea, rail, or another suitable method. The final logistics plan is confirmed according to product size, destination, delivery schedule, and customer requirements.

Q12: Is the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan suitable for continuous operation?

It can be configured for industrial operating conditions, but continuous-duty suitability depends on the actual operating point and environment. When requesting a quotation, I recommend telling us the expected operating hours, temperature, gas condition, airflow, pressure, and any special requirements. This allows us to evaluate the configuration more accurately.

9. How to Choose the Right 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan

If you are purchasing a high-pressure centrifugal fan for the first time, I suggest starting with the process rather than the fan model. Write down what the system needs first, and then match the equipment.

  1. Confirm the required airflow. Determine how much air or process gas needs to move through the system.

  2. Calculate the system pressure requirement. Include ducts, filters, dampers, burners, heat exchangers, and other resistance.

  3. Confirm the gas temperature. State both normal and maximum expected temperatures where possible.

  4. Describe the gas condition. Tell us whether the gas contains dust, moisture, corrosive substances, or other materials.

  5. Confirm the installation arrangement. Provide inlet and outlet dimensions, available space, foundation information, and drive requirements.

  6. Discuss motor requirements. Electrical voltage, frequency, motor power, protection requirements, and other specifications should be confirmed.

  7. Review transportation conditions. Fan size and packaging should be considered before shipment, especially for overseas projects.

One of the most useful lessons from industrial fan projects is that a fan should be selected for the actual working point, not for a general description such as “high pressure” or “large airflow.” Two systems can use the same fan type but require completely different configurations.

For that reason, our engineers prefer to review the operating data before confirming a quotation. If the customer already has a system drawing, fan curve, equipment list, or previous fan specification, these documents can make the technical discussion much faster.

10. Get a 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan Configuration for Your Application

The 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan is designed for industrial users who need dependable airflow under relatively high system resistance. It can be considered for boiler air supply, dust collection, industrial ventilation, drying, combustion air, chemical processing, metallurgy, cement production, coating equipment, and other process applications.

At Zhejiang Shangyang Industrial Fan Co., Ltd., we do not treat fan selection as a simple catalog exercise. We look at the actual operating condition and then work toward a suitable configuration. Our experience covers standard and non-standard centrifugal fans, high-temperature applications, environmental protection systems, dust collection, coating equipment, boilers, kilns, and other industrial processes.

If you are looking for a 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan manufacturer, a high-pressure centrifugal fan supplier, or a customized industrial high-pressure blower, send us your airflow, pressure, gas temperature, gas type, motor requirements, and installation information. If you have a drawing or existing fan specification, you can send that as well.

We will review the working conditions, confirm the technical requirements, recommend a suitable configuration, and provide the relevant commercial and production information. For a customized fan, the production schedule will be confirmed after the technical details are agreed.

My approach is simple: understand the process first, select the fan second, and confirm the details before production. That is the practical way to make sure the 6-30 Series High-Pressure Fan is matched to the system it is expected to serve.
